Background

Kathleen Taylor joined SUNY Poly as a full-time lecturer in 2014. She was the host and writer behind the internationally syndicated, long-running public radio program on words and language, Word for the Wise. Other professional writing experience includes stints as an editor at the Merriam-Webster reference company and as a senior editor in New York City advertising agencies. Ms. Taylor has also held management positions in the not-for-profit industry.

Ms. Taylor served ten years on her local public school board and is currently president of her local library. Past publications include a regular column in Kappan magazine.
