Dear SUNY Poly colleagues,
The SUNY Poly President’s Awards recognize faculty and staff who exemplify excellence, service, and a deep commitment to our institution’s mission and core values. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 SUNY Poly President’s Awards in the following five categories:
Excellence in Campus Service: 2026 Excellence in Campus Service Award nomination form
Staff Excellence: 2026 Staff Excellence Award nomination form
Outstanding Service in Athletics: 2026 Outstanding Service in Athletics Award nomination form
Bright Beginnings: 2026 Bright Beginnings Award nomination form
Faculty Service: 2026 Faculty Service Award nomination form
The nomination forms, accessible via the links provided above, include a description of the intention of each award and its nomination criteria. Please note that there are two subcategories for the Outstanding Service in Athletics Award: one award designated for members of the coaching staff (Coach and Assistant Coach titles), and one designated for non-coaching members of the Athletics Department staff.
Please also note the following criteria that apply to all categories of the 2026 President’s Awards:
Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Nominations should provide evidence of how nominees demonstrate SUNY Poly’s core values: Accountability, Community, Empathy, Gratitude, Inclusion, Innovation, Kindness, and Respect. Nominations that provide specific examples in reference to two or more of the institutional values will be especially well received.
Nominees who resign from SUNY Poly during the nomination/selection period will not be eligible to receive an award. Nominees who retire during the nomination/selection period will still be eligible to receive an award, as long as they meet all other nomination criteria.
Award recipients are not eligible to be nominated again in the same award category for a period of ten (10) years; and are not eligible to be nominated in any other award category for a period of three (3) years.
