Biography:

Sarah Wolf-Stanton is a Doctoral Candidate in MFT through Syracuse University. She holds an M.A. in MFT and a CAS in Trauma-Informed Practice, both from Syracuse University. Sarah earned her B.A. from Syracuse University in Psychology. Sarah frequently conducts workshops and trainings on trauma-sensitivity, trauma-informed practices and underlying neural mechanisms of trauma. Her goal is to depathologize the impact of traumatic experiences as well as to promote education around the physiological effects. She is trained in and previously facilitated for the Trauma Resource Institute, both the Trauma and Community Resiliency Models. She has also completed 1st and 2nd level training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. Sarah is an adjunct instructor teaching Lifespan Developmental Psychology and co-teaches MFT 603, a graduate course in traumatology at Syracuse University. Currently, Sarah is also part of a grant whereby she is developing and conducting trauma-sensitive trainings to alleviate the impact of intergenerational transmission of trauma and attachment patterns. Sarah works in clinical practice seeing individuals, families, and couples having previously experienced trauma such as but not limited to incest, sexual assault, domestic violence, interpersonal violence, abuse, neglect, and combat.
