SUNY Poly has adopted the OHSWA RecycleOneOne and Done program. ALL recyclable items – paper, plastic, metal, and glass – should be mixed together loosely in one recycle bin.

So what is recyclable?

RecycleOne flyers have been distributed to help everyone understand what is and is not recyclable under the new RecycleOne program. The RecycleOne flyer is also available here.

Below are tips for recycling GLASS.

INCLUDE

Food & Beverage Containers Such As: Liquor & Wine Bottles, All Deposit Bottles (Beer, Tea, Juice, etc.), Canning Jars

DO NOT INCLUDE

Broken Glass, Drinking Glasses, Ovenware & Ceramics, Window Panes, Mirrors, Dishes, Cups, Plates, Windshields or Light Bulbs (CFLs have some mercury and are considered hazardous waste)

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Do Not Break Glass! Labels Do Not Need To Be Removed. Rinse Thoroughly. Remove Lids.
