To Utica Campus SUNY Poly Students, Faculty, and Staff:

Beginning today, Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, SUNY Poly’s Utica campus will host one of the New York State-run community COVID-19 testing sites. The site is managed by Quadrant Biosciences and will provide appointment-based and walk-in COVID-19 testing Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are excited to support these community-focused testing efforts, and we hope individuals within the SUNY Poly community will also find this site helpful to further meet your testing needs.

From this point forward, all Utica campus-based student, faculty, and staff members who are not fully vaccinated (see fully  vaccinated definition here) and thus are required to test weekly should begin to utilize this site for their weekly testing. (This replaces the earlier Utica campus  weekly testing plan to test faculty, staff, and students outside the bookstore each Tuesday/Wednesday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.)

There are several benefits to testing at the state-run site:

  • Instead of testing on specific days, you can now test any day each week. While there may be capacity for walk-ins, it is strongly encouraged to schedule the time that best works for you (see link below).
  • In addition, this community test site can immediately reflex test your sample, and, because it is not pooled testing, there would no longer be a need to take part in a precautionary quarantine as part of this testing process.

All weekly student testers must forward their results to wellnesscenter@sunypoly.edu; all faculty and staff who receive results through this testing option should forward their results to hr@sunypoly.edu.

The testing will take place in SUNY Poly's Oriskany Hall, located at 555 Residential Drive.

More information about this community testing option is also available on SUNY Poly’s website. You can schedule an appointment here.

Sincerely,

The Office of Marketing and Communications
