SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics (MS DSA) program has been ranked #18 in TechGuide’s 2026 Best Master’s in Data Analytics Programs, placing it among the top 20 programs in the nation. This recognition highlights SUNY Poly’s commitment to preparing students for impactful careers in data analytics and data-driven decision making.

The MS in Data Science and Analytics program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to work with complex data, focusing on the ethical collection, exploration, and preparation of multi-modal data, the design of advanced analytics models, and the effective communication of insights to decision-makers. Students build a strong technical foundation through core coursework in statistical analysis and experimental design, scripting and programming, data visualization, machine learning, and distributed data processing.

The program also allows students to tailor their studies through elective courses in specialized areas such as computer science, mathematics, and social sciences, culminating in an industry internship, applied project, or research thesis.
