Welcome to the Office of the Provost. As the Interim Provost, it is my honor to serve as the chief academic officer for SUNY Polytechnic Institute to enable and ensure the most valuable educational experience to prepare our students to thrive as alumni.
The Office of the Provost’s responsibility is to implement and support SUNY Poly’s academic mission and strategic goals. In particular, the office oversees all academic and academic support programs, including our four colleges:
The Office of the Provost also oversees SUNY Poly’s Library, which provides access to key resources to students and faculty for a successful academic and research experience; the Registrar’s Office, which is responsible for maintaining student academic records and for preparing the course schedule; and the offices of student success, online and distance learning, assessment and global programs and the Learning Center. The Office of the Provost is also the repository for the Academic Advising Handbook (pdf), as well as the manager of academic processes, including student ratings of instruction and academic integrity to provide a top-tier academic environment.
As SUNY Poly drives student success and achievement, underpinned by faculty excellence, the Office of the Provost is dedicated to providing our students with engaging and transformative learning experiences, with the appropriate level of academic and individual support. Concurrently, the Office of the Provost aims to support the recruitment of and retain an excellent and diverse faculty and staff, and we are proud to play a key role in student success, as well as the success of the overall institution.
Thank you for visiting our site. If you have any questions or feedback, or need any assistance, please reach out to our office at any time.

Dr. Andrew Russell
