Keith DiasAs a first-time international student, SUNY Polytechnic Institute was a great place. The college helps you right from the time you step ashore in the USA, by sending a senior student representative from your country to help you get to where you are staying. It's also a significant area of learning, with excellent and friendly teaching staff, as is the environment where it is situated in Utica. Having secured my M.S. in Computer Science from SUNY Polytechnic, I recommend SUNY Polytechnic Institute to students wishing to pursue their degree in the USA, where you can learn, earn and grow in a competitive field. I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the director, Mr. Tze Tek, my college professors, and teaching and non-teaching staff for helping us face the competition and challenges in our respective fields of learning.

The teachers are very reasonable and fair, the staff is excellent, and the rules help keep the school safe and in order. There is an equal balance of learning and reviewing the information, and there’s tutoring if we need it. Courses like machine learning, artificial intelligence, and many more provide students with extraordinary learning experiences. There are many opportunities for SUNY Poly students to work at some fantastic companies in the form of internships and full time. I like that SUNY Poly has many activities available for students. When I first came to US in Aug 2015, it was all new for me because it’s my first international visit. All the professionals who are working at SUNY Poly helped me and guided throughout my masters. I have received GA as a tutor for UG students. While doing my job, learned how to cope up with my work environment. All my professors taught me how to apply jobs related to my masters, which I implemented later in my career. Now I am happy that I got a good job, thanks to my experience and learning at SUNY Poly

Nikhil MohodSeveral of my classes were tied into real world examples form my career. Like performing case studies, where we reviewed a recent case of the merger between two Telecom companies. These case studies provided valuable insight not only into the technical details but also financial models used for making the merger at the time.

Also the Linux courses and security courses were designed keeping in mind the real world problems and assignments were specially crafted for us.

My final Technical project gave me a good insight of the work I was already doing at my company, so it helped to boost my confidence and made me technically sound. Also the courses like Research & Analysis helped me getting better prepared for the US job market, as we learned to do a organized research and how to connect the dots.
