Distinguished alum to address nursing conference
 
SUNYIT will present “Primary Health Care Across the Life Span,” a program for nurses, nurse practitioners, nursing students, and interested health care professionals, Friday, March 28, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Kunsela Hall.
            
                 The keynote speaker will be critical care nursing pioneer and SUNYIT
            alumna
            Patricia Sterling, MS, RN, who assisted in developing and then
            taught the
            Mohawk Valley Critical Care Course for Nurses. Sterling has 45 years
            of
            nursing experience and is responsible for educating thousands of
            nurses in
            critical care. In addition to graduating from SUNYIT, she also
            received a
            graduate degree in education from SUNY Cortland.

Organizers say the goal of this event is to provide current, low-cost continuing education to health care providers in the community and to foster collegiality for health care providers of all levels in Central New York. The cost is $25 for students, $40 for SUNYIT alumni and preceptors and $50 for the general public if paid before March 21. The cost is $60 if payment is received after March 21 or at the door.
