Hundreds expected for technology showcase
 
            
                
                     SUNYIT will welcome students from two dozen school districts,
                their
                families and the general public to the 13
            
            thannual Mohawk Valley Technology
                Education and
                Pre-Engineering Showcase Thursday, March 13, 1-6 p.m., in the
                Wildcat
                Field House. The event will include student technology displays,
                student
                technology competitions, business and industry displays, and
                upstate New
                York college admissions information.

“Student demonstrations, displays and competitions this year will include bridge building, catapults, robotics, ‘junkyard wars,’ CO2 car races, mousetrap vehicles, digital photography, logo design, ‘KidWind’ and more,” says Elizabeth Rossi, event coordinator. “Representatives from regional colleges and companies will also set up displays that inspire students to consider engineering and technology college and career paths.”
                 Families and friends are welcome to attend. The event is free and
            open to
            the public, and refreshments will be available. For more information
