UTICA – SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) announced today College of Business Management (CBM) programs have earned another full five-year term of accreditation by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

"I am thrilled by the significant and steadfast efforts undertaken by SUNY Poly's faculty, staff, and students to ensure this prestigious reaccreditation for the College of Business Management," said SUNY Poly Interim President Dr. Grace Wang. "SUNY Poly's business programs continue to be internationally recognized for their inherent quality and the strong academic and professional qualifications of our faculty."

"The AACSB reaccreditation is a recognition of the CBM's impact through active academic and professional engagement, which fosters innovation in degree programs, pedagogies, and student services, in compliance with AACSB's comprehensive set of standards," said Dr. Arthur Lu, Dean of the College of Business Management. "Maintaining this accreditation has been an ongoing collective effort of our faculty, staff, students, campus community and administration, advisory board, and alumni. This hallmark of excellence in business education continues to strengthen the CBM's position among the most respected business schools in the world, and serves as the benchmark of quality and learning experience for students, parents, and employers."

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Every five years, AACSB requires accredited institutions to undergo a review to maintain their accreditation. Its accreditation marks the highest standard of achievement for business schools. Less than 5 percent of the world's business programs have earned AACSB accreditation. AACSB has been developing accreditation standards since 1919.
