The local schools did well, with Colgate 2, Hamilton 1, and SUNY Polytechnic 1 and 2 all making the finals.SUNY Polytechnic Institute captured the gold medal match by beating RPI 1, who had won the bonspiel the two previous years, by a score of 9 - 3.
