Albany, New York (June 22, 2015)

Albany – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher today announced the names of 312 faculty and staff who are recipients of the 2014-15 Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence.

"The Awards for Excellence recognize SUNY faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond in service to our students, campuses, and communities,” said Chancellor Zimpher. “It is a great honor to have the opportunity to thank them publicly, not only for their efforts to raise the bar on their own campuses but for their dedication and service to the entire SUNY system.”

About the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are presented annually to faculty and staff in six categories: Faculty Service, Librarianship, Professional Service, Scholarship and Creative Activities, Teaching, Adjunct in Teaching (biannually), and Classified Service. The honor provides system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and encourages the ongoing pursuit of excellence.
