SUNY Poly Announces 60th Anniversary Gala Supporting Student Scholarships
SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) will celebrate six decades of innovation, education, and community impact during its 60th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 6 p.m. in the newly renovated Campus Center.
The milestone celebration will bring together alumni, students, faculty, staff, industry partners, community leaders, and friends to commemorate SUNY Poly's 60-year legacy while looking ahead to its future. Since its founding in 1966, SUNY Poly has prepared generations of leaders, advanced groundbreaking research, and strengthened communities through education, innovation, and partnership.
The evening will feature a cocktail reception with cash bar, dinner stations, an anniversary program, dancing, a DJ challenge featuring SUNY Poly President Dr. Winston Soboyejo, and a spectacular fireworks display over campus at 9:15 p.m. Formal attire is encouraged.
“Over the past 60 years, SUNY Poly has transformed countless lives through education while making meaningful contributions to research, workforce development, and economic growth across New York State and beyond,” said President Soboyejo. "This gala is an opportunity to celebrate the people and partnerships that have shaped our history while investing in the next generation of students whose ideas and innovations will define our future. We invite our alumni, friends, and community partners to join our campus community for this special evening as we celebrate our past and build momentum for the future."
Tickets are $60 per person, with all proceeds benefiting SUNY Poly student scholarships.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations and individuals wishing to support student success while receiving recognition before and during the event.
