UTICA, NY – Demonstrating a steadfast devotion to providing an affordable, quality education, SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) has been ranked fifth nationwide in the 20 Best Affordable Healthcare Administration and Management Online Degree Programs list compiled by Affordable Schools. The ranking sets SUNY Poly ahead of other institutions such as SUNY Canton (#12), Colorado State University (#7), and Montana State University Billings (#17).

"I am proud that SUNY Poly’s Healthcare Administration and Management programs are named among the top 20 affordable programs by higher education institutions across the nation. This is further testament to how we offer students a challenging, experiential education at an incredible value to prepare them for lifelong careers in the ever-changing field of healthcare," said Dr. Grace Wang, Interim President of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. "SUNY Poly is at the forefront of adapting to students’ needs by going above and beyond to provide online options and hands-on, clinical learning to meet the busy schedules of today’s and tomorrow’s healthcare professionals.”

Affordable Schools’ picks for the best in healthcare management and healthcare administration programs included online degrees from major public research universities, liberal arts colleges, Christian institutions, and more. Schools and programs were evaluated by “factors such as in-state tuition rates, student-to-faculty ratios, graduation rates, and national rankings by U.S. News & World Report.”

Additionally, SUNY Poly this week was also ranked 20th nationwide in Best Healthcare Administration by Study.com, higher than University of California at Berkeley (#47), University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (#23), and University of Wisconsin - Green Bay (#21).

"These rankings demonstrate SUNY Poly’s commitment to developing and fostering exemplary healthcare management and administration programs for students in the 21stCentury," said Dr. Steven Schneider, Interim Provost of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. “With highly flexible course schedules and excellent partnerships with renowned healthcare leaders, it’s no surprise our institution outpaces others around the country.”

The latest rankings come just months after SUNY Poly announced a master’s degree program in Transformational Leadership in Nursing for current baccalaureate nurses, allowing for either traditional or non-traditional field and classroom options for obtaining this in-demand degree.
