For the first time in its 20 year history, the ACR Health Hike for Life here in 2018, formerly the AIDS Hike for Life, was not held at Hamilton College.

This year it was held at SUNY POLY in Marcy, and ACR Health Executive Director Wil Murtaugh says it was a great thing it was moved to SUNY POLY because everythingw as set up inside the SUNY POLY gym which offered a nice inside venue during Saturday's rainy weather which began right around the start of the race at 1:00 P.M..  At Hamilton College in the past, the entire operation was set up outside.

Murtaugh says the event was moved to SUNY POLY because ACR Health is now serving so many more people, "And we wanted to make sure that everyone had access to the campus and to the race and we can all have an indoor place when it rains, like it’s raining right now, which is really great."
