Wildcat Dollars can be added to your SUNY Poly Card in one of three ways:

from $10 to $500 with a credit or debit card
  • at the Auxiliary Services office on the 1st floor of Kunsela inside the Wildcat Den. Cash, check or credit/debit card accepted.

Students visit the website to order online and have their textbooks shipped to their home or to campus while digital course material access is emailed. The bookstore website is open 24/7 and textbooks for the upcoming terms are usually visible to students 4-6 weeks before the start of classes. It is recommend that students order their course materials 3-4 weeks before the term begins.

Check out with any major credit, debit, or prepaid credit card. Students may also use Wildcat Dollars, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay to check out. Visit sunypoly.textbookx.com/giftcards for bookstore gift cards. Financial aid funds from third parties like Access VR may also be used, when approved by the school.

New textbooks can be returned for a refund as long as it's within 30 days of the order or two weeks after the start of class. Most eBooks can be returned within 14 days. Marketplace items are not returnable. Items ineligible for return are marked "not returnable" at checkout. If you miss the deadline to return or you ordered a book that is not returnable, you can always sell it on the Marketplace.

  • All sale items and promotional items are non-returnable.

  • Price match guarantee on new books.
  • Free shipping on select orders over $49 (not including Marketplace).

  • Sell your books back on the website at any time of the year – you name the price!
Yes! Here are some suggestions:
  • When available, rent rather than buy your textbook; buy used textbooks; check for availability of digital books; lastly buy new.
  • If you have a choice between buying a textbook package with a study guide or other items or just the textbook alone, make sure you need the extra items before buying the package. Publishing companies create packages as a great value for students, but if you don't need all the items, you can save more by buying only the textbook if it's available by itself.
  • Be cautious about buying books on the web. Some online sellers promise huge discounts that don't actually exist. Be sure to compare prices for each book, and don't forget to add in shipping fees and possible sales tax. Online sellers may not be able to ship your books for weeks or may send the wrong edition. If you make a purchasing error, you may not be able to return the book for a refund.
  • You can post textbooks for sale on the Marketplace and name your own selling price. You'll receive payment either as a direct deposit to your bank account or as store credit. If you select to be paid with credit, you get an extra 5% back!
  • Keep a close eye on your textbooks. Theft of textbooks is on the rise nationwide. Thieves target books to resell. Don't leave your books unattended, even in places like the library. If your books are stolen, report the theft immediately. Mark your books in an inconspicuous place so you can identify them as yours.
