Additional Fire Safety Guidelines
- Never cover or tamper with the detector in your room!
- Never hang items from sprinkler heads or doorways!
- Always evacuate if the fire alarm sounds!
- You may not be in possession of items that produce flames (candles, lighters, flares, etc.).
- A surge protected power strip with overcurrent protection (an on/off switch) that is UL/ETL approved is the only permitted alternative to an extension cord or multi-plug adapter.
- Flags, tapestries, and other fabric may not be hung on the walls or ceilings.
- Do not connect a power strip into another power strip, multiplug adapter, smart plug adapter, or extension cord. Any combination of this is considered daisy chaining and could cause a fire.
- Large appliances must be plugged directly into the wall (fridges, TVs, PCs, etc.).
- Room entryways must be kept clear. Do not block pathways.
