To help ensure that SUNY Polytechnic Institute students, faculty and staff receive critical communications as quickly as possible, SUNY Poly uses Rave Alert, an emergency notification system.
Rave Alert can deliver important University communications by text message, voice message and email. Alerts may be sent during campus emergencies, severe weather, significant changes to course delivery or other situations that affect campus operations.
Update Your Contact Information for Rave Alerts
SUNY Poly students and employees are automatically enrolled in Rave Alert using their SUNY Poly email address. You are encouraged to review your account and add additional phone numbers or email addresses where you would like to receive alerts.
Update Your Rave Alert Account
- Visit the SUNY Poly Rave Alert login page.
- Enter your SUNY Poly email address as your username.
- Enter your Rave Alert password. If you do not know or remember your password, select the Forgot your Password option and follow the instructions to reset it.
- After logging in, review your account and add, remove or update your contact methods, including mobile phone numbers, landline numbers and additional email addresses.
Rave does not charge subscribers to send or receive SMS messages. Standard messaging or data charges may apply depending on your wireless carrier and service plan.
Opting Out of Rave Alert Messages
SUNY Poly students and employees are automatically enrolled in Rave Alert through their SUNY Poly email address.
- Rave Alert is used for official SUNY Poly communications and is not used to send advertising or spam messages.
- Contact information provided for Rave Alert will not be shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
- To opt out of text messages, update your preferences through your Rave Alert account or text STOP to 226787, 67283, 77295 or 78015.
- For security purposes, students, former students and employees may be required to log in to their Rave Alert account to make changes to their contact information.
